Market context (Sep 2026): Proxmox VE Premium is about €1,100/socket/year with 24/7 and a 2-hour Sev-1 target; Standard about €550. Vates XCP-ng Enterprise is about $1,800/host/year. kcore Enterprise is priced to sit in that band without matching Proxmox’s full mature support org on day one—custom SLAs available by quote.
kcore-migrate is published. Inventory reads vCenter or Proxmox and writes Terraform. It does not copy disk bytes. Convert turns an exported disk into qcow2 or raw. A direct vCenter read is not included, because VMware VDDK is not in the release. Moving the estate is still a paid project: assessment, pilot, cutover, and a Year-1 subscription.
